Created by 2 former Erasmus students in Porto,
Student at Home came out as a response to all the struggles we faced during our experience, especially when it comes to finding accommodation.
Since then, we have partnered with relevant institutions and maintained our focus on helping students and creating a support system for them while they are away from home.

We understand that using the website might not always be very straightforward and for that reason, we have started to create YouTube tutorials to help you get the most out of it.

Here is our first “how to”:

In order to be able to send you a list of options we will need some details about your stay:

  • exact period of stay
  • where will you study in Porto
  • budget
  • your requirements for the room (are you after an individual flat? Room with private bathroom? Any specific location in mind? All those details which can help us refine our search and send you the most relevant options possible).

Sending money in advance for making the reservation could be very stressful when you don’t know anything about the person at the other end.
But we do know each and every single landlord on the website, have a personal relationship with them and can vouch for their integrity.
Like this, you can be sure your money is secured.

Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the arrival date is at least 90 days away.
100€ cancellation fee for any cancellations made after that.
No refunds of the entire advanced payment for cancellations made within 30 days of arrival if the landlord cannot find a replacement.
